The Prices Body Shop
Monte Carlo Finishes 3rd and moves to 6th in points.
May 14th 2006 After testing two
different cars on Friday the team ended up choosing
the right one. The team worked really hard with two
weeks off from racing to come back and qualify 3rd
and finish 3rd. "Its about time we have finally hit
on something good" Jason said in a post race
interview.
After taking the green Jason dropped to 4th place
behind Morris, Grey, and Kevin Wood. By lap 30 Kevin
and Jason had caught the 27 of Garrett Grey and
Jason moved to the 3rd spot where he would
eventually finish. The car ran the same the whole
race it was very stable and never really slowed
down. The caution came out with 2 laps Togo and
Jason made one final shot at the 20 of Wood but was
unsuccessful with the pass. "The team really has
came together and had a lot of fun this week leading
up to tonight" Keith Brooks said after the race.
Morris won the race with Wood finishing 2nd
all in all this was a very good points nigh for the
team after a 19th finish at the first race moving
Jason into 6th in points.
Jason Mitcham Motorsports takes a
much needed 2 week break after a rocky start to the

New Crew Chief
carries success from Martinsville to Motor Mile with
a top 25 in the Baileys 300 and a top 3 at Motor
Mile.
Posted October 16th 2005
Blacksburg~ The Prices Body Shop #24 went to
Martinsville with a new face on the team. Keith
Brooks newly acquired to the team as crew chief.
This is the first crew chief the team has had in two
years since Jason started acting the role as driver
crew chief 2 years ago. Martinsville qualifying was
not as well as planed placing 60th so Jason started
10th in the heat race. By half way the red 24 was
knocking on 5th place actually finishing 4th in the
heat. After starting 36th in the main going a lap
down early coming away with a very respectful 22nd
spot 2 laps down. "Having Keith takes a lot of
pressure off me and I really have a lot of faith and
respect for my new crew chief its looking good for
2006."
With the Baileys 300 behind the Mitcham
Motorsports team it was back to Motor Mile again.
After testing Friday and feeling really good about
the Prices Body Shop, Fast Wax Chevy Monte Carlo the
team wins another pole position. With Phillip Morris
on the out side pole Jason knew it was going to be
tough up front. After falling back to 5th place by
half way we were ready Jason was ready for
adjustments. After consulting with the crew
adjustments were made and the red 24 was on its way
back to the front. "It was awesome to just be able
to work our way back to the front after falling
off." Jason said. In the end after starting on the
pole the team brought home a 3rd place finish. |

Bristol takes its toll on Jason Mitcham Motorsports.
Posted September 26th 2005 Blacksburg~ At lap
10 Jason was working very hard to get in the main event
Saturday night by lap 15 it was over. After a Qualifying
run that put the Prices Body Shop, CL Draughn Chevy
Monte Carlo 7th in the 3rd heat race the team knew Jason
would have to race hard to get into the main. Running
7th with about 7 laps left in the race Jason was setting
up the 89 of Brandon Ward to pass to put himself in the
race he got hit in the left rear and was spun driver
side in to the outside wall exiting turn 4. "That was
the hardest hit in my life" Jason stated. The car was
torn apart of its body and will need a rear and possibly
a front clip. The team will work on the back up car for
the Martinsville test this Wednesday but it isn't so bad
it is the same car that the team ran last year in the
race so the team will be going with a positive feel for
the race.
A
very up beat night turns bad about 10 laps into the race
to go from a 4th place start to a 15th place finish over
50 laps down. Posted September, 11th 2005
Blacksburg~ The HT Bowling 200 was looking pretty good
for the Mitcham Motorsports with a $1000.00 bounty still
on Phillip Morris and the 24 car coming off two strong
top 5 runs. Jason qualified in the 4th position and was
very satisfied with that after not qualifying so good
earlier in that car. " It seems we have trouble getting
this car to qualify but 4th is great with 23 cars here."
On lap 10 Jason was being challenged for 4th position by
Caleb Holman in the 60 car with the 24 on the out side.
Going into turn 3 the 60 got loose and tagged the 24 in
the left rear spinning the 24. Jason continued but with
rear end problems after pitting for a left rear finding
out it was more internal than just a tire. The team
worked on the Prices Body Shop, CL. Draughn 24 for about
50 laps before sending it back to the track to just
maintain points.
When the car returned Jason just stayed out of the
way and rode around for about 150 laps collecting
points. " I wasn't mad at all at Caleb we race hard
every weekend and **it happens that's why we race and im
just glad there wasn't anymore damage than there is, we
will be back next week ready to rock again," Jason
explained.
"WOW, now that's cool"
The words of Jason after the September 7th Bristol Motor
Speedway test.
Blacksburg~ The Prices Body Shop Chevrolet Monte
Carlo will be running in the
at Bristol Motor
Speedway on September 24th. The team hasn't competed in
UARA-STARS event in two years but after securing a
comfortable 2nd place spot at Motor Mile in the points.
"I was very happy with the car after the test, I
didn't want to really change a lot on the car today
because today was just for me to get used to the track."
The team will be working on the car for the next two
weeks at the shop to prepare and make adjustments for
the race with practice being that weekend of the race.
Finally finding another top 5 finish Jason Mitcham and
team move to 2nd in the Motor Mile Speedway points.
Posted July, 31st 2005
Blacksburg~ Finally is the word of this week, the #24
team finally gets a top 5 finish and best of all moves
to 2nd in the points. Derek Kale set the pole for the
Stocker excavating 150 Saturday night at the Motor Mile
Speedway. Jason had a good lap to put him in the 4th
starting position. With a new format race stopping at
halfway at lap 75 for adjustments to cars Jason and team
was feeling positive for the change. "I really felt like
if the car wasn't as good as it could be by halfway my
team could make changes to improve the car." And boy did
they need to make adjustments at lap 75. After running
in the 2nd spot for about 45 laps Jason was falling off
fast with a ill handling race car. At the pit stop the
Prices Body Shop Chevy. Monte Carlo was running in the
3rd spot. After making changes the race resumed and
Jason would hold off Tink Reedy until around lap 120
when the #46 car got around the #24. Jason would hold on
to finish in the 4th spot for the evening.
"We never thought the race would go so long under
green flag so when the chance to pit came along we took
advantage of the whole opportunity." Now going into next
weeks race a 200 lap event the team has a little
momentum to work with that has been needed for some time
now. Being 2nd in points after this race and getting
back to a top 5 finish the team still looks for a win.
After setting the
pole and leading 56 laps the Prices Body Shop Chevrolet
Monte Carlo finds mechanical problems to end a promising
night in 12th position.
Posted Thursday, July 28th
Blacksburg~ The #24 team has not had a promising
night since 2 months ago. After setting the pole and
setting sail in the lead the team knew something was
wrong from the start. "I knew as soon as the green flag
dropped something was wrong with the sound of the car
and the vibration to go with it." Jason said. The
splitter in the exhaust came apart due to a bolt
breaking. For 56 laps Jason set the pace with Kelly
Kingery following close behind. When the first caution
came out on lap 60 the NASCAR officials brought the 24
car down pit road to be repaired before coming
back on the track. The team repaired the car and Jason
returned on the track 8 laps down to the #57 car.
Salvaging a night with out an DNF Jason said it is
bitter sweet. "We know we had a car to beat and we know
that bad luck comes along with good."
Another top 10 on a hot and muggy
night at Motor Mile Speedway.
Posted Sunday, June 26th
Blacksburg~ On a hot day 150 laps sounds like a BBQ
on wheels. Practice wasn't very successful with the air
temperature around 95 degrees and a track temp. at about
150. "I didn't want to make a lot of changes in the heat
of the day because its waste of work and time." The #24
Prices Body Shop, Fire Slayer Chevy Monte Carlo wasn't
on the leader board in neither practice but the team
wasn't worried about that because of the heat and old
tires.
Qualifying wasn't much better with a lap time of
16.68 to put the team in the 9th starting position. "Wow
the car felt like a rocket and I thought I was at least
going to be in the top 5." Just like practice Jason
wasn't very worried the track was slower and the team
knew the car was better than what it showed in two laps.
The race got going with a good start with a caution
on lap 4 Jason was already up to 7th position. The race
format was changed with a half way stop and draw
inversion. About lap 60 Jason was running 7th and was
battling to get into the top 6 with the 60 car Caleb
Holman but couldn't complete the pass fast enough. On
the restart on lap 77 the 24 car started working on the
60 car again and battled for 20 laps to finally complete
the pass. The race would go green until lap 140 with oil
on the track. At the end of the night with Jason
fighting a Tight/Loose condition would finish 6th. "I
guess this is a good finish I just wish we were a little
better," Jason said.
This week the 24 team will be working on the Price's
Body Shop, CL Draughn late model for the road trip to
Myrtle Beach for a 100 lap race July 2nd. See ya next
time.

After two top 5
runs Jason Mitcham Motorsports has a unwanted run of bad
luck: Posted Monday, May
30th:: Posted by Jason Mitcham
Blacksburg- After two great top 3 runs closing the
points chase down to 8 at one time a trio of
unfortunate events come along. In the Southern Printing
150 Struggling all day long with the track and set ups
the team worked all day long changing everything on the
race car I headed out to qualify and put down a lap to
put me in the 6th starting spot. As the green flag flew
I just paced myself and slowly worked my way up to the
2nd spot in 150 laps behind Frank Deiny Jr. "A very
satisfying night for a very long hot and busy day."
With the Prices Body Shop Blue Ridge Color Co.
Chevrolet Monte Carlo looking forward to the
Prices Body Shop and Brcc. 150 the team really
wanted to do well for there sponsor. After another great
qualifying position the team was looking for a win. The
race was actually 200 laps because of rain the week
before but it was looking like a was out again. The #24
Chevrolet Mote Carlo looked like one of the strongest
cars all day long and for 85 laps it was holding a great
2nd place. The rain started falling on lap 80 and put an
hour delay on the races as it wasn't half way yet so it
couldn't be official. When we went back to green leader
Jason Lawrence spun going into turn 3 and Tony McGuire
took the lead. Running 2nd and 3rd the whole race
actually running 2nd on the last lap Mark McFarland
passes by in an exciting finish to put the #24 in
3rd.
On May 21st and May 28th the story was the same and
it wasn't very pretty. The Collision Plus 200 and
Shelor Motor mile/ Craftsman/3M 200 both ended up
with a right side door being strapped back on by the
crew. In the Collision Plus 200 I feel back to 9th place
after a 3rd place start and was just taking my time
working back up when the #01 car ripped the door off.
"With the team working together I pitted 3 times and
stayed on the lead lap after working back up to 4th
place the team really pulled together to end up with an
8th place finish." Then in the Shelor Motor
mile/ Craftsman/3M 200 the race wasn't much
different other than we weren't on top 120 laps into the
race when I pitted for some wedge to try to tighten up a
very loose race car. After the crew finished I was
running 12th and on the restart trying to work back
toward the front I was tangled up with the #41 and again
the door was removed in an bad and damaging way again.
Salvaging a 11th place finish with the team keeping him
on the lead lap again the team moved up to only 2 points
out of 2nd and 36 points out of 1st.

Blacksburg- The weekend started out promising for the
Fire Slayer, Draughn Ditching #24 after practicing on
Friday and Jason feeling comfortable with the car and
the way it was handling. "The car felt really stable and
responding after practice Friday evening I really
thought we had a better car than what we showed Saturday
night during the Star Country DRP 500." Jason said.
Jason only made about 20 laps in the 2 hours of practice
on Saturday morning thinking the car was better than what it
was. "I knew we were down on motor a little but didn't
expect to be as off as we were." Qualifying came around 3pm
with rain threaten sky's and Jason running a 16.33 putting
him in 11th starting position in a 26 car starting field
knowing a year ago that would 9 times out of 10 be a pole
position the team might be in trouble for the 300 lap event.
The green flag dropped about 6:15 the #24 car stayed
pretty consistent in the top 12 but after about the first 55
laps of the race you could tell the difference in the built
motors and the crate engines. Approaching the halfway break
Jason was running about 15th the first car a lap down. "I
wanted to make some changes at half way and we did and it
made a noticeable change after the restart." My guys worked
hard all weekend with people having new jobs and
responsibilities I was happy with the effort given." Jason
said. Finishing the race 10th was an awesome effort given by
everyone on the team.
Taking a weekend off for Easter Mitcham Motorsports will
be back with new idea's and strategy for the seasons first
points race while going for the 2005 Motor Miles Speedway

New rules and a
tight championship chase will be the focus at Motor
Mile Speedway this year.
"Roanoke Times" By. Jared
Turner Sunday March 13 2005
RADFORD - The green flag is about to wave again at
Motor Mile Speedway and the usual cast of contenders is
eager to find out what is around the season's first
turn.
The campaign opens Saturday night when the Late Model
Stocks hit the track for a 300-lap, nonpoints affair
following a 100-lap Limited Sportsman event. Late Model
teams are expected to focus on several issues in the early
going. Leading the list is the use of newly mandated Hoosier
tires and first-time rules governing the speed-enhancing 500
CFM carburetor. There is also the matter of finding a way to
unseat defending track champion Frank Deiny Jr. of
Mechanicsville.
Deiny won 10 races last year in his first full season at
the track. He has also won Late Model track championships
elsewhere. Two years ago, he competed in the Featherlite
Southwest Series at tracks such as Phoenix International
Raceway and Infineon Raceway. He knows what it takes to get
to the Winner's Circle.
"I've been in almost every situation you can be in,"
Deiny said. "With 10 to go, I think I have a real
advantage."
The 31-year-old driver of the No. 4 Bailey's machine was
so dominant at Motor Mile last year that the speedway
offered a $5,000 bounty to any driver who could end his
winning streak. Deiny, who finished second
in the Dodge Weekly Racing Series region last year,
believes he has more in the tank.
"I hope they have to put a $20,000 bounty on me this
year," Deiny said.
In addition to repeating as track champion, the 13-year
veteran of the Late Model Stock series has his sights on a
national championship. For the first time this season, the
title will go to the driver among track champions around the
nation who finishes with the most points for the season.
Previously, the national champion was determined by a
complex competition performance index that ranked the top
drivers. If the new system had been in place last year,
Deiny would have been right in the hunt.
To contend again this year, Deiny will first have to deal
with the competition at Motor Mile, not an easy chore by any
stretch of the imagination, considering the talent of the
field. More than 40 drivers including five former track
champions will race. Included among the former champs are
three-time title winner Chad Harris and veteran Tink Reedy.
Harris finished third and Reedy fifth in last season's
standings.
"The competition should be better than it's ever been,"
said Lynn Carroll, director of competition at the speedway.
Carroll believes the switch from Goodyear to Hoosier
tires will make tire wear less of an issue, putting a
premium on driving ability and car handling. "These tires
don't fall off nearly as much," Carroll said. "It should be
more consistent racing."
Consistent is a good way to describe last season for
22-year-old Jason Mitcham of Blacksburg. In just his second
full season at the speedway in a Late Model, the driver of
the No. 24 Blacksburg Plumbing Chevrolet won two races and
finished second in the point standings. He was runner-up to
Deiny seven times, five of which were decided by two car
lengths orless. In one memorable race, Deiny edged Mitcham
by 4 inches. Mitcham hopes to challenge again this season.
"It's an honor for me to run competitively with Frank,"
Mitcham said. "We're going to have to buckle down and really
get after it."
Mitcham's team built a new car for the upcoming season.
If last year's success and a recent test at the speedway are
any indication, Mitcham should give the competition all it
can handle.
"I definitely have championship on the brain," Mitcham
said. "I definitely think we have what it takes."
For Mitcham, anything less than the title will be a
disappointment.
"I don't want to leave anything out on the table,"
Mitcham said.
Neither does 26-year-old Late Model driver Jason
Lawrence. After finishing in the top three in Late Model
Truck points for three consecutive seasons, Lawrence is
ready to make a championship bid in his No. 54 H&H Carpet
Ford. Last year, Lawrence finished fourth in the point
standings and was rookie of the year.
"Hopefully we'll come out of the gate as strong as we
finished," Lawrence said.
Lawrence knows Deiny is the man to beat.
"We wouldn't go run if we didn't think we could beat
him," Lawrence said. "I believe it's possible but you're
going to have to have your 'A' game on to do it."
Deiny is expecting a battle this season from Mitcham and
Lawrence among others.
"I have a lot of respect for both guys," Deiny said.
"They keep getting better. It ought to be a challenge again
this year." |

Blacksburg~ Hey everyone again just to let everyone know
what is going on inside the shop. The team went to the
speedway a week ago to test the car for the 2005 season.
It was a very positive test I think things went really
good right off the trailer after working really hard
just to get there and hit the track. The team ran into a
lot of trouble with the transmission lining up but all
in all everything went great. I have a better program on
my computer so I hope to do a little better on my
updates but if you think about it I can only update so
much in the off season if you have any requests please
feel free to let me know.
A very special thanks is in order to my
dad b/c if it wasn't for him there would be nothing of Jason
Mitcham Motorsports. Buddy Draughn for all the hard work and
support he has put into this season and the ones before. And
Ronnie Kelly for the hard work and time put into this new
car and the help with the team in the seasons before.

Comment On This PostBlacksburg~ Hey everyone just thought I would actually
update this thing. Its been pretty busy here lately working
on two different cars just to get them on the track to test.
All in all things are going well with the new shop and
getting the cars ready. Other than that its just a matter of
time to hit the track. Hopefully in the next week we will be
at the motor mile testing getting ready. Were thinking that
were going to run the back up car for the 300 lapper in
March and keep the new car fresh for the first points race.
I would like to thank everyone for the happy birthdays
and leaving messages on the board. It was pretty much just
chill back I went out with my friends and my girl friend
Erin and it was a good night. Also I would like to mention
for everyone to keep a close friend in there prayers. Paul
Bowyer and his 12 year old grand daughter was burned in a
house fire. Well Everyone hopefully I will do better up
updating this. Next entry should be after we test. By
everyone. |

Merry Christmas and happy new year everyone. Just a
heads up on what is going on in the burg and what is
going on with the race team. Since 2005 is pretty much
here lets just say there hasn't been a lot of work done
to the cars. Oh yeah we did get us a new Townsend
chassis I am ready to go to work on that and get back on
the track. I did drive about three weeks ago doing some
testing for the Officials and NASCAR. The team is just
ready to get things up and going again.
Just some other things going
on with the team is that tire guy Kevin Solesbee is
going to be giving up half the season going to NC
working for a Nextel cup team. The team is 100%
behind him and personally I would like to think that
its going to benefit me in the long run LOL. Also
team member Jason Lawson will be driving part time
in the limited late model class in 2005 in the teams
old late model dodge. Everyone have a great happy
New Year and be safe, just think about me while im
in New Orleans while
Virginia
Tech
beats Auburn.

Mitcham drives to a top ten at the Motor Mile

Comment On This Post
RADFORD, VA –The past week can be described
in one simple word, hectic. Many of the teams
made the trip down to the Martinsville Speedway last
week to test their cars for the upcoming Late Model
feature race. For teams with one car, such as
Jason Mitcham, this brought with it a large workload
on the team. After returning from testing,
Jason found himself with only two days to change his
car back, to once again adapt it to the conditions
at the Motor Mile.
During the two test sessions early
in the day on Saturday, the car was one of the quickest
in the field, but Mitcham knew instinctively, that the
car just wasn’t right. Without much time before
qualifying, the team pushed the car into the lineup and
waited with their fingers crossed for a good lap.
When Jason took to the track, he
turned a 16.71 on his first lap, however, on his second
lap, his time dropped to a 16.75, something very
uncharacteristic for the young ambitious driver.
For the team, this meant it was time to get to work.
They immediately grabbed a slew of wrenches and went to
work. Being the hands on driver that Mitcham is, he
changed out of his driving uniform ready to tear apart
the car right alongside the rest of the team.
Starting on the outside of the
fifth row, back in tenth position isn’t the most
favorable of positions going into a 100 lap race,
however, Mitcham kept focused knowing that he was going
to have to make his way through the pack if he wanted to
get to the front. However, as the green flag
dropped, the team didn’t imagine he would have to move
his way to the front from the very back.
Lap 5 brought out the first caution
as the 12 car of Dennis Holdren, and the 29 car of Kyle
McClenathan spin out in turn 2. By dodging the
wreck, it pushed Mitcham almost completely to the rear
in 17th
position. As the green flag dropped again on lap
11, the crowd got a show that I know they weren’t
expecting. The two competitors for the track
championship drafted off of each other, and worked
together to move back up through the field.
Mitcham and Deiny Jr., who also got shuffled to the rear
in 18th, moved quickly together through the
field, and by lap 17, they had both gained 4 positions.
By lap 20 the duo gained another
position, and Mitcham let Deiny Jr. pass, knowing that
he still had 80 more laps to go. Mitcham to many
is known as a passive driver who is friends with
everyone. However, with a track championship on
the line, he knows that if he wants it, he has two races
left and every position makes a difference. Having
to battle with lapped cars really put a strain on the
whole field this past Saturday. Just to maneuver
around some of them, Mitcham found himself running three
wide, not just once, but multiple times.
The second caution of the night was
brought out on lap 83. When the green dropped again on
lap 88, Mitcham had driven himself back into the top
ten, safely in 8th position, and didn’t show
any signs of slowing. On lap 90, Mitcham passes
the 55 car putting him in seventh and on lap 93, he
passes the 02 putting him in 6th which is
where he finishes the race.
“The team did a heck of a job
tonight. They have really been working hard with
Martinsville and all. I hate that we had some bad
luck tonight, but maybe we can get it out of the way now
before Martinsville and the 300 lapper here at the Motor
Mile” – Jason Mitcham

Mitcham Prepares for Martinsville after another Top 10
at the Motor Mile

RADFORD, VA –From the beginning of the day,
things weren’t going the way the team had wanted.
Qualifying back in the eighth place position
isn’t the norm for Jason, but after the ups and
downs throughout this season, Mitcham has learned
that you have to take what is dealt and make the
best of it.
As the race began, Mitcham
dropped back into the 12th position and
had to fight his way to gain every position he
could.
“The outside grove just didn’t
go,” says Mitcham looking back on Saturday’s race.
As the checkered dropped, Mitcham
took home another strong top 10 finish, in the sixth
place position.
“We had a bad oil leak, which
hurt us, but we have it fixed now, and it’s time to
move on and start looking at Martinsville.” – Jason
Mitcham
The team will be traveling to
Martinsville, this coming Wednesday, September 29th
to start practicing, and seeing what changes will have
to be made to the car in order to adapt to the
different track.
These next two weeks will by trying for the
team, in that once they have the car handling they
want it for Martinsville, they have to come back
home, and change it back for the Motor Mile race

“I am really looking forward to
Martinsville this year.
I think we have a real shot at it, and I think
we may have one of the strongest cars out there.” –

Chase for the Championship at MMS

RADFORD, VA –September 11th is a day
that will be remembered long past the current
generations. The Motor Mile hosted a parade of rescue and fire departments
to commemorate the anniversary of the day that shook
the Nation.
In the pits, this day also meant a change of pace
from the recent normal 200 lap races, back to the
all so famous 100-lap Late Model dash.
Mitcham qualified with a 16.43,
which on a recent week would land him in the front
two rows, however, this week it put him on the
inside row, in the seventh place position.
The inside pole went to Jerame Donley with a
time of 16.31, and the outside pole went to Tam
Topham with a 16.37.
Over the past few weeks, Mitcham
has learned that the formula for winning involves a
great deal of patience, however, with the distance
being cut in half, there was a sense of urgency for
the drivers to get to the front and dominate.
As the pace truck dipped off the track in turn
four, the cars quickly battled for every precious
position.
By the conclusion of the first lap, Mitcham in his
24 Chevrolet had already gained two positions, and
safely settled into fifth.
The first two cautions of the
race were brought out on lap 12 and again on lap 17.
Both times Mitcham was lined up in the fifth
place position on the restarts.
On the third caution, which was brought out on
lap 70, pit lane was filled with cars and crews
attempting to make repairs on their cars due to the
previous cautions.
Coming in for pits were the 12, 1, 55, 11, and
4 cars.
After the green flag was dropped again on lap 75,
Mitcham and the 77 began to battle for a top five
finish.
On lap 82, the 77 passes Mitcham, settling him
back into sixth, which is where he finishes the
race.
Taking first place for the first time this
season at Motor Mile was the 5 car of Jerame Donley,
second went to Tam Topham and rounding out the top
five were the 54, 26, and 77.
“The car was handling rough
tonight, and we have some work to do this week, but
we will be back strong next Saturday.
Congratulations to Jerame, I know he worked
really hard to get back this week, and
congratulations to Tam as well”. – Jason Mitcham
Motor Mile has posted the points
standings after Saturday, and Mitcham has began to
close the gap on current points leader Frank Deiny
Jr.
Mitcham is still in second, but only 28 points
separate the top two.
Motor Mile returns to racing again this
Saturday, September 18th for the STAR
Country 100.

Mitcham Steers Clear in the Collision Plus 200

Comment On This Post
To the naive race watcher, the presence of a car
in victory lane is solely based on the skill of the
driver. This past weekend, the fans got a lesson
in the patience, luck, and politics that are all an
intricate part of the formula.
Radford VA – A few sprinkles of
rain fell during the early hours of preparation and
practice, but this didn’t dampen the spirits or slow
down the work on pit lane.
The 200 lap races at the Motor Mile have almost
become the norm over the past few weeks, giving the
teams some time to get more comfortable with the
extra laps.
Knowing this would be the last 200 lapper of the
season; it brought some added pressure on Mitcham’s
team, who want their next victory so bad they can
taste it.
Qualifying started on schedule
and the pole was set with a time of 16.32 by the 99
car of Denny Hamlin.
Mitcham, who qualified with a time of 16.41
started in the third place position.
The outside pole went to the 5 car of Jerame
Donnelly, and starting to the outside of Mitcham was
the 17 car of TJ Majors.
Before the race began, Jason
Mitcham knew what he had to do in order to be strong
at the end of the 200 laps, simply be patient.
“I lead
191 laps, [in a previous 200 lap race], and got beat
on the last turn.
It doesn’t matter where I run as long as I am
in the front at the end”. - Jason Mitcham
And
patience he had.
On lap 27, Mitcham sent a message to the 4 car
of Frank Deiny Jr., who was gaining ground, to go
low, as Mitcham settled comfortably back in the
fourth place position.
On lap 83, a similar message was sent to the 17 car
of TJ Majors, as Mitcham once again settled back
into a comfortable distance away from the pack in
the fifth place position.
On lap 105, all of Jason’s patience paid off as the
5, 4, and 17 cars all make contact coming out of
turn four, landing Mitcham back in third behind the
99 and 57 cars.
On lap
122 Mitcham turned on the heat as he passed the 57
car, bringing him back into second, which is where
he stays for the remainder of the race.
Another caution came out on lap 157 as the 5
car of Jeramy Donnaly, and the 4 car of Frank Deiny
Jr. make contact again in turn two.
The race ended on lap 204 after another caution
on lap 197, with the 99 car taking the win, Mitcham
with a strong second place and the 57 car of Kelly
Kingery in third.
Rounding out the top five were the 54G in
fourth, and the Bailey’s 4 car of Frank Deiny Jr. in
fifth.
"We had a
really strong car and a great run tonight. I'm
ready to go again next week, and hopefully bring my team
back to victory lane. Thanks to all the fans that
came out tonight, and congratulations to Denny Hamlin
and Kelly Kingery". - Jason Mitcham

Mitcham is on the move at Motor Mile

Comment On This Post
RADFORD, VA –Things were anything but typical this
past Saturday at the Motor Mile.
With the rain setting in early, there was some
question about whether Mother Nature was going
cooperate or not.
Finally as the rain subsided around 5:00 the
track dryer was working overtime to get the speedway
ready for qualifying.
Pit lane was piled full of Late
Models, with 29 cars all battling for the front row
to start off the Marshall Concrete 200.
Drawing the fourteenth qualifying slot, Mitcham
charged out on the track grabbing the outside pole
position with a time of 16.46.
The last 200 lap race wasn’t
mentioned in Mitcham’s pit this Saturday, it didn’t
have to be.
The team still replays that last lap over in
their heads, and there was an unspoken determination
for an improvement in the finishing order for
Mitcham Motorsports.
As the second race concluded, the drivers appeared
from their trailers, and walked down pit lane to
climb in their freshly waxed cars.
This was a particularly eerie feeling for
Mitchams team, in that his car was also on the
outside pole for the last 200 lapper. Looking up at the crowd, and seeing his most dedicated fans
run to the fence to give him a last wave and thumbs
up, drowned out the sound of the track dryer and
made the night seem like it was all for him.
As the pace car ducked off the
track, every fan was on their feet cheering as the
lead cars of Deiny and Mitcham crossed the line.
Coming down the backstretch on the first lap,
Mitcham took the lead from Deiny, and began to
distance himself as the first caution is brought out
on lap 2, involving 7 cars on the front stretch.
After a red flag, the caution is shown and the
cars start back up.
The green is dropped again on lap 8, and
Mitcham starts his charge.
Distancing himself by nearly a
whole straight away from the second place runner,
Mitcham begins to pick off the field one by one.
For the first 80 laps, ‘Mitcham’s coming’ had
to be a common radio transaction among many of the
teams.
Adding to the bad luck of Mitcham’s team from
previous weeks, on lap 98 the 4 car gets past
Mitcham, to take over the lead.
Deja vu from 2 weeks ago, however this was 100 laps
earlier than it happened the last time.
Barely able to hear Mitcham on their radios,
the team was left wondering what was going wrong as
the 17 car of TJ Majors took the inside line
battling Mitcham for numerous laps and taking the
second spot away from him on lap 160.
The caution on lap 175 was almost
perfect timing, as the fans got a free firework show
from away in the distance. The cheerful display was a bit bitter sweet for Mitcham’s
team. They knew Jason did all he could to hold off
the field for the last 25 laps, but with some motor
problems, and the car handling rough, the fifth
place finish was graciously accepted.
This wasn’t the night for the big victory, but
Mitcham continues to show every week, that he is a
force to deal with, and to get to victory lane, you
have to get past the 24 Chevrolet first.

Mitcham sets the pole at MMS

Comment On This Post
RADFORD, VA – After a tough second place
finish the previous week, Jason was on his toes and
ready to go racing this week at the Motormile.
During qualifying Mitcham captured the pole
with a personal best time of 16.27, nearly a tenth
of a second better than the outside pole setter of
Denny Hamlin.
During the first 80 laps of the
race, Mitcham in the number 24 Chevrolet, and Hamlin
in the 99 car battled for first, running side by
side on numerous occasions.
When the caution came out around lap 82,
Mitcham was second on the restart.
Behind him, was Chad Harris in the 3 car.
As the cars made it through turn one, heading
to turn 2, Harris got under Mitcham and as a result
Jason fell to sixth.
On lap 92, Denny Hamlin’s 99 car
hit the wall as a result of a cut tire, bringing out
another caution.
Mitcham unfortunately also suffered from a cut
tire, and as the cars took the checkered flag, the
24 car took home 5th.
“Our car ran great again tonight.
The tire hurt us some, but bad luck seems to keep
finding us.
The team is really looking forward to next
weeks 200 lap race, and with the way the car has
been these past two weeks, we are all looking for
another great finish.” – Jason Mitcham.
Currently Jason is second in the
points standing, just 58 points from the leader.
With the extension of the dash for cash
challenge, Jason is also in second, but only 6
points from the leader.
The next race is the Marshall
Concrete 200, this Saturday August 21st at the
Motormile Speedway. Gates open at 4pm,
qualifying begins at 5pm and racing starts at 7pm.

Jason Mitcham leads 191 laps at Motor Mile
Posted Sunday, August 8, 2004 :: Posted

Comment On This Post
RADFORD, VA – From the beginning of the day on
Saturday at the Motor Mile Speedway, everyone could
tell that this was going to be anything but a
typical LMSC race.
It has been a few weeks since the last 200 lapper,
and for a driver, this brings added pressures and
second-guessings for how the car will handle the
extra laps.
The first out on the track during
qualifying was T.J. Majors who ran a 16.42 holding onto
the pole position through numerous drivers until the
number 6 car of Randy Taylor took over with a 16.28.
Drawing the qualifying position of 23, Jason
Mitcham had to sit by and wait patiently until most of
the field went ahead.
On his first qualifying lap, Mitcham turned a
16.42, and on his second, he blasted past the rest of
the field to take over the outside pole with a time of
16.383.
During the other races, before the
start of the LMSC, the chat about the potential of the
cars to run out of fuel and perceptions that the track
will get tighter throughout the night were the common
buzz in most of the pits.
As the sun started to set, and the stands filled
with anxiety about the race to come, one couldn’t help
but think that the night felt like football season, and
to Jason Mitcham, this brought even more calmness and
confidence.
The energy in the stands boosted
the drivers as they climbed in their cars on pit lane,
lining up for the PMI/Castrol Oil Products 200.
As the cars followed the pace car around the
track waiting for the green flag to drop, there wasn’t a
fan left on their seat. After racing side by side with
the 6 car of Randy Taylor, Jason Mitcham was just shy of
the lead when the first caution came out on lap three.
After the caution was lifted, Jason took over the
lead on lap 8 and proceeded to dominate the field.
“The car was great tonight, and we
had a great motor.
The team put in a lot of work this week, and it
really showed.” – Jason Mitcham
Jason Mitcham raced unchallenged
until lap 76 when the number 4 car of Frank Deiny Jr.
moved up the field into second place.
The number 17 car of T.J. majors made the next
pass, as he took the third place spot from the number 6
car on lap 95.
The last ten laps of the race
brought every fan to the edge of their seat.
Jason and Deiny battled through every lap, and
Mitcham held on to the lead all the way until the very
last lap.
“I took a breath every time I
passed the start/finish line, and I don’t think I took
another one until I passed it the next time around.” –
Jason Mitcham
On the very last turn of the very
last lap, Mitcham got caught up on a lap car while
racing Deiny to the finish line, and was beat by just
inches.
Everyone was on their feet and cheering, as Jason
climbed out of his car.
This was a great night for Jason Mitcham, and for all of
the fans, even though a second place finish isn’t a win,
leading 191 laps is a huge accomplishment.

Another Top 5 Finish For Jason Mitcham

Comment On This Post
RADFORD, VA – After a provisional start due to the
in climate weather last week at the Motor Mile
Speedway, a large amount of fans showed early this
week to watch the battle for the starting lineups.
With a qualifying time of 16.51, Jason started
in fourth place, with the #8 car of Tam Topham
capturing the pole.
After a premature start of the WDBJ 100, the
leader was sent for a drive through penalty giving
the lead to the number 17 car of T.J. Majors who was
quickly run down by Frank Deiny Jr.
The real battle of the race was
for third, fourth and fifth place between the 6 car
of Randy Taylor, the 75 car of Tink Reedy and the 24
car of Jason Mitcham.
“The fans really got a show the
last couple of laps.
The fans at Motor Mile are a great group of
people, and it was great to have them cheering us
on.” – Jason Mitcham
During the grueling 30 lap battle
between the three cars, Jason Mitcham looked to the
inside of the 75 car multiple times, but decided to
take the outside line above Tink to grab the fourth
place finish as the cars took the checkered flag.
“A top 5 finish isn’t
disappointing, but our car was a lot better than
what our fourth place finish shows.” – Jason Mitcham
Congratulations go out to the
number 4 car of Frank Deiny Jr. for another win, and
the 17 car of T.J. Majors for his 1st second place
finish at the Motor Mile Speedway. For more
Late Model racing, come out to the Dr. Pepper 100
presented by Kroger this coming weekend at the Motor

Another Top 5 In The Bumper-to-Bumper 100
Posted Tuesday, July 14th, 2004 :: Posted
by Kevin :: 11:04 PM EST ::
Comment On This Post
The clouds opened up during the first practice session
and with dark clouds in the distance, rain would
threaten the running of the Bumper-to-Bumper 100. But
the Rain Gods, being true race fans, held off the storms
for another exciting night of action at the Motor Mile
Speedway.
The Jason Mitcham Racing, Inc. team headed into the
evening making numerous changes to the car with hopes of
slimming down the points lead of Frank Deiny, Jr. Jason
qualified the car solidly in 4th position with a time of
16.47 seconds for the 100 lap main event.
The start of the race came and Jason settled the car
into his 4th starting position just waiting for the
opportunity to strike. Outside pole-sitter Randy Taylor
looked as though he had a cut tire which ended his night
early. Newcomer to the track Jerame Donley made was
making an impressive run in his first outing, battling
Jason for several laps for the second position. Donley,
though, had a rear end leak the entire race and was
pouring grease onto the windshield of Jason’s car. After
attempts with NASCAR to make him fix the problem,
nothing was done. “They’ve got a tough job to do up in
the booth,” stated Mitcham, “I just drive the car and
play with the hand that I am dealt with.”
On a restart, the night looked as though it would be
over as the lead pack went into turn 1. Jason was shoved
from behind by Jason Lawrence, which pushed the #24 car
into Donley’s car causing him to spin. Jason took
evasive action not to get collected and ended up falling
back to 4th position as the cars of Kelly Kingery and
Jamie Sweeney made it thru the mess. After the final
restart, Jason could make up no more ground on the
field, and settled for 4th position. “I felt as though I
had something for Franky tonight,” stated Jason, “We’ll
get him though”.
Jason and the entire Jason Mitcham Racing Team will be
back in action on Saturday July 17th for 100 laps of
late model action as well as 250 laps of Hooters Pro Cup
action. We would like to thank all our 2004 sponsors:

Top Ten Finishes Put JMR 2nd In The Points

Sorry everybody that it has been such a while since we
have updated the site. The team has been very busy the
past two weeks. The week of the 7th, the team went to
work to put a brand new body on the car, which took up
basically the entire week. The race on June 13th, which
was 200 laps, saw the Jason Mitcham Racing team bring
home a solid 8th place run. It wasn’t what we all
expected, but not too shabby. The following week the
team spent every night working on changing the setup and
working on the geometry of the car trying to find the
speed necessary to contend for the championship.
Jason captured his first career pole and all the hard
work had immediately paid off. Jason blistered the track
with a time of 16.46 seconds. The outside pole sitter,
Chad Harris immediately jumped out and grabbed the lead
on the initial start and Jason settled into second.
Point leader Frank Deiny, Jr. slipped past Jason as well
and Jason followed his bumper to second place. Several
cautions ended the team’s chances of picking up their
third win of the season.
The race on June 26th saw Jason start from the 4th
position and losing one spot throughout the 100 lap
event and finishing 5th. The team lost 2 championship
points to leader Frank Deiny, as he finished 4th. The
team will go back to work and try to get the car to turn
just a little better in the center of the corner.
Congratulations to Chad Harris for picking up the $1,000
bounty for winning the race.
Jason and the entire Jason Mitcham Racing Team will be
back in action on Saturday July 10th for the running of

Several Rain Delays, Well Worth The Wait

Sunday, May 23rd proved to be another special day for
the Jason Mithcam Racing team. As the track crews’
battled off and on thunderstorms, the team was anxious
to get the 94.9 Star Country Race of Champions underway.
“I came up here and tested after making a few more
changes to the car. Last week we finished 2nd and we
only had one more spot to gain” stated Mitcham.
Sterling Marlin, Jimmy Spencer, Jon Wood and Bill
Elliott were on hand for a 25 lap “Race of Champions”.
They were given the opportunity to thrill the fans
behind the wheel of the local late model stock cars. By
the end of the 25-lap event, Jon Wood took the checkered
flag after Jimmy Spencer and Sterling Marlin got
together, allowing Wood to take lead.
Jason qualified in the 5th position at a time of 16.60
seconds; just one tenth of a second off the pole. “We
have improved a lot on our qualifying the last few
weeks. It pays off to be up front,” explained Mitcham.
As the green flag waived, Jason quickly moved into the
fourth position and by the halfway point, he had made
his way around the Chevrolet of Richard Landreth for the
third position. On lap 67, the front two cars of Frank
Deiny, Jr. and Eric Sartin were battling for the lead,
while Jason closed the gap. “I knew I was going to catch
them, but I didn’t know I was going to pass them that
easily” The two cars of Deiny and Sartin made contact
and went spinning down the front stretch. This gave
Jason the lead with 33 laps to go.
Jason took the green flag on the restart and never
looked back; as he captured his first win of the 2004
season, while in the process moved to 4th in points only
28 out of the lead. “We are getting better and better
each week and it’s definitely showing.”

New Look Car Brings Home A Great 2nd Place Finish

Comment On This Post
The Jason Mitcham Racing, Inc. team hit the Motor Mile
Speedway on Sunday May 16th for the running of the
Shelor Chevy 100. It was the first time on the track
with the car since the team converted it from a Dodge to
a Chevy.
The conversion seemed to be the right decision after
qualifying, as Jason went out 8th in the qualifying
order and posted and time of 16.58 seconds; in the
process turning a few heads amongst the competitors.
Pole-sitter Eric Sartin topped the charts with a lap of
16.51 seconds. "We made a few changes to the car from
last week, cause we knew it was going to be hot and
slick" stated Mitcham. "You can never stop working on
the things." The changes paid off with Jason solidifying
a solid 2nd place starting position, the best of the
2004 season.
The green flag fell and Jason did
all that he could to get past Sartin, but being on the
outside, he couldn't make the car stick. The #24
Blacksburg Plumbing, Stellarhosting.com, Chevrolet
settled into 2nd position and was focused on the 100
laps that were ahead of team. "I thought I had something
for Eric on the long run, but the cautions hurt us"
explained Mitcham. Everytime I felt like I was catching
him, a caution would fly, but in the end we were happy
to run as good as we did."
The Jason Mithcam racing team ended
the night with a 2nd place finish, the best of the 2004
season.
Jason and the entire Jason Mitcham
Racing Team will be back in action on Sunday May 23th
for 100 laps of late model action. Cup and Truck Series
Drivers' Sterling Marlin, Bill Elliott, Jimmy Spencer,

Up and Down Night Ends with Another
13th Place Finish

The Jason Mitcham Racing, Inc. team is going to find the
closest roulette wheel and place all their money on
number 13, this after another 13th place finish in the
Stockner Excavating 100 on Saturday April 24th. This was
Jason’s 3rd 13th place finish in the four races at the
Motor Mile Speedway. “We have just been at the wrong
place at the wrong time” stated Mitcham.
Jason qualified in the fourteenth position for the
100-lap feature event. The starting position did not
rattle the Jason Mithcam Racing team, as they knew the
car was going to be great for the race. “We came and
tested this week and we made a few changes and we knew
the car was going to be a good one.”
Jason immediately began making his way to the front and
was slowed when he made contact with Mike Looney while
trying to take the ninth position. The Blacksburg
Plumbing, Stellarhosting.com, Haile Landscape Design,
Inc. Dodge Intrepid would restart the race in 21st
position, shotgun on the field. Again, Jason worked his
way to the front picking off cars at a quick pace and
had his sights set on the seventh place car of Dennis
Holdren until disaster struck again. Coming off of turn
2, the 12 car of Holdren appeared to come to an abrupt
stop and Jason with nowhere to go plowed into the rear
of Holdren causing a fender to come loose. Jason came to
pit road and the crew removed the fender and Jason would
again restart shotgun on the field.
The Jason Mithcam racing team ended the night with
another 13th place finish a bit disappointed but
optimistic about the future. “The car was great. I could
put it where I needed to,” explained Mitcham. “We’ll
get’em, you guys just watch, we’ll be there soon.”

model action. We would like to thank all our 2004

After A Series of Misfortunes, Mitcham Brings Home A
Solid 4th Place Run in Front of A Packed Crowd. The
Jason Mitcham Racing, Inc. team was looking to turn
around a string of misfortunes at the Motor Mile
Speedway Saturday April 17th after two 13th place
finishes. Jason started the feature event in the eighth
position for the 200-lap H.T. Bowling sponsored feature
event. The green flag waived in front of nearly 8,000
loyal fans and Jason immediately started making his way
to the front. "I knew we were going to be great for the
long run" explained Mitcham, "We ran all 150 lap races
in the UARA last year and we were well prepared for 200
laps." Jason moved himself into a comfortable fourth
position before the mandatory halfway caution to allow
the Crate Motor Cars to refuel. "We were setting a
pretty good pace and I didn't want to use my tires up
early,"stated Mitcham, "I was saving my stuff for the
end." A caution came out on lap 155 for a wreck
involving Jamie Sweeney and Rusty Skewes. "We didn't
need that caution" said Mitcham, "We were coming and
thought we could battle with Chad for third." The
caution period ended Jason's run to the front and a
chance a bettering his position and the team wound up
with a solid fourth place finish.
Jason and the entire Jason Mitcham Racing Team will be
back in action, April 24th at Motor Mile Speedway for

The Jason Mitcham Racing, Inc. team christened the newly
remodeled Motor Mile Speedway Saturday April 3rd looking
to pick up where he left off from the 2003 season. On
Sept. 13, 2003, Jason picked up his first late model
stock car win, and expectations were high heading into
the 94.9/Pine Ridge Nursery 100.
Jason qualified in the eleventh position for the 100-lap
feature event, directly behind track veteran, Tink
Reedy. “I think I left a little on the table for
qualifying” stated Mitcham. “I promise you that will not
happen again.”
Jason settled his Dodge Intrepid into a comfortable 9th
position with the car getting a little better and
better. With no warning though, the left rear tire went
flat. The Jason Mitcham Racing crew immediately went
into action to change the tire and salvage what finish
they could. After the race Mitcham explained what
happened. “All of a sudden the car just slumped over on
its side and I couldn’t figure out what the problem was.
The crew told me the left rear tire was flat and we came
in and changed it.” After the team searched for the
problem, they found that the valve core came out of the
tire. “We will fix the problem, and get ‘em again next
week,” stated Mitcham.
Jason and the entire Jason Mitcham Racing Team will be
back in action, April 10th at Motor Mile Speedway for
the Pepsi 100. We would like to thank all our 2004
sponsors, which include Blacksburg Plumbing, Draughn
Ditching,

The Jason Mitcham Racing team is set to hit the newly
remodeled Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, VA this
weekend for the track's second open practice session.
The Blacksburg Plumbing, StellarHosting.com, Draughn
Ditching Dodge Intrepid has not been on the track since
last September when Jason picked up his first career
late model stock car win. "We are going up and run the
first race and see how we stack up against the heavy
hitters that are planning on running at the Motor Mile
Speedway," stated Mitcham. "We had a great run the last
time there and we are looking forward to repeating our
efforts."
The team began their 2004 UARA effort with a
disappointing 20th place finish at the East Carolina
Motor Speedway in Robersonville, NC. "The car was just
way too loose at the end of the race. We did a little
mud bogging, got hit about twenty times, but the car
just has some cosmetic damage" said Mitcham. "We'll
hammer out the fenders and move on to the next one." Be
sure to make the trip out to the Motor Mile Speedway on
April 3rd for the cheapest and most exciting
entertainment in the New River Valley. |

Finishes

"Bullring" That's about all we can say. The Jason
Mitcham Racing team kicked off it's 2004 UARA campaign
with a stop at the East Carolina Motor Speedway. "This
place has the tightest corners I have ever seen" stated
Mitcham. The team took advantage of the opening practice
session on Friday to dial in the car. "We have never
seen the place before today, so we needed to get all the
track time we could" explained Mitcham. "We spent the
night making changes to the car and getting it better."
Jason was consistently one of the fastest cars in the
practice session and the crew loaded up the trailer and
headed to the hotel with a ton of confidence for
qualifying and the race.
Jason qualified the Blacksburg Plumbing,
StellarHosting.com, Draughn Ditching Dodge Intrepid 15th
out of 38 cars that attempted to make the field. "I gave
it all I had" sighed Mitcham.
Jason posted a time of 15.08 seconds which was .15 off
the pole. "We normally don't qualify that well, but with
the cars that are here, that was pretty darn good."
Jason started to race off strong by moving up a couple
of spots from his 15th place starting position. "There
was a lot of beating and banging going on out there. I
felt like a ping pong ball getting hit back and forth."
stated Mitcham.
The car continuously got looser and looser and Jason did
all he could do to hold on to the car. The Jason Mitcham
Racing team had to do a little extra work for this one
after Jason got tangled with another car while
attempting to make a pass. "I got under the car and the
next thing I knew, I was heading for the mud" Jason went
for a spin in the infield grass area and the crew came
out and pushed him back on the track. "Man that was a
wild ride. Guess we have a lot of cleaning to do."
explained Mitcham.
The Jason Mitcham Racing team finished the night a
disappointing 20th place. "I have got six donuts on my
right side and mud under my car, but the car is still
straight."
Be sure to catch the Jason Mitcham Racing team at the
Motor Mile Speedway on April 3rd for the opening race at
the newly remodeled facility. We would also like to
thank La Cassetta Italian Restaurant for providing the
teams with pizza for the Friday night practice session. |

at East Carolina Motor Speedway on Saturday March 20th.
Going into its third year of existents the UARA STARS
have a lot of momentum from 2003. With over one hundred
and twenty five drivers the southern late modeling
touring series is looking for a lot of return drivers as
well as some new faces.
Defending UARA Champion Lee Tissot will be heading the
way for the UARA regulars that will be returning for the
2004 along with all the drivers finishing in the 2003
top ten points standings. "Some of the new drivers that
have registered so far look to add to the competition
and should be for some exciting racing. We also have a
great field of Rookies that will be just as strong as
some of the veteran racers," said Competition Director
Brian Vance.
With sixteen races scheduled for 2004, UARA is excited
about opening at East Carolina Motor Speedway in March.
This will be the first trip to the speedway for most of
the Late Model drivers. UARA has scheduled a practice
season for Friday March 19th, beginning at 6:00 pm. The
rest of the UARA schedule has the drivers returning to
racetracks that they competed at in 2003 with the
exception of Bristol Motor Speedway, which plays host to
the First Annual Late Model event to be held at the
famed high bank facility.
